LIBBIE
Daughter of Andrew and Lizzie Dow
Born Jan. 16, 1885
Died May 20, 1886
I was shooting in Houston's Glenwood Cemetery walking up a road behind this when I spotted a flash of blue standing out in the sea of green, brown and gray. I noticed that someone had hung a braided ring on the childs arm with colorful star spangled blue ribbon and two red ribbons with small bells attached (one now missing). Just the kind of thing a young child would love. Even though she's been gone more than 130 years someone still cares about Libbie. I feel better knowing that.

Photography has been a passion of mine for over 45 years and I look forward to making photos for the next 45. I hope that you like my photos; I am okay with it if you dislike them; I just hope I never bore you. I haven't deliberately developed a certain style as I like most styles and genres of photography. I will admit a preference for black and white images as I find them more expressive but not to the exclusion of color images. I creatively edit my images to convey to the viewer the spirit of what I saw and felt about the scene rather than trying to document the scene journalistically. All of the images were made and processed by me. All are copyrighted, all rights reserved.
